🗑️ TRASH & RECYCLING REMINDERS

  • Trash Collection: Regular Monday trash collection is proceeding normally today. Please ensure all containers are securely placed at the curb.

  • Recycling: This week (the week of June 1st) is Commingled Recycling (plastics, glass, and aluminum cans) for Zone A. Zone B will be on Fiber Recycling (paper and cardboard) next week. Please rinse out all cans and bottles before placing them in your bins to help keep our township collection efficient.

🚧 ROAD WORK & PUBLIC WORKS

  • Route 206 Line Striping: The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has scheduled overnight line striping and minor asphalt patching along Route 206 Northbound and Southbound within Byram Township borders. Work will take place between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM all week. Expect minor lane shifts and short delays during late-night hours.

  • Neighborhood Drainage Clearing: DPW crews will be clearing roadside drainage ditches and catch basins in the Cranberry Lake and Lockwood sections this week ahead of seasonal summer storms.

🏅 BYRAM SPORTS SPOTLIGHT

  • Lenape Valley Regional High School: Congratulations to our Patriots track and field athletes who advanced past the sectional tournaments last weekend! State tournament games for baseball and softball are also underway this week. Check the LVRHS athletics calendar for exact brackets, times, and location details to go out and show your school spirit.

  • Youth Recreation Leagues: The regular season for Byram Recreation Little League baseball, softball, and youth soccer is entering its final stretch. Tournament schedules for mid-June will be distributed by coaches later this week.

🌳 PARKS & RECREATION: C.O. JOHNSON PARK C.O. Johnson Park is fully geared up for the summer rush! With the gorgeous June weather here, the walking trails, open playgrounds, and turf fields are seeing heavy daily use. The tennis and pickleball courts are fully open—as a reminder, court time is available on a first-come, first-served basis unless reserved in advance through the Recreation Department. Please remember to keep our park beautiful: dogs must remain on a leash at all times, and clearing up after your pets is mandatory.
